Role Overview The Source and Recruit Company has been exclusively retained to assist Lavallee & Company in its search for a Senior Tax Accountant to join its team. This individual will play a pivotal role in preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns, managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and contributing to the overall leadership of the firm. This position requires a CPA with strong public accounting experience and a proactive, client-first approach. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, small-firm environment and who is looking for a long-term career path with ownership potential. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, and trust/estate tax returns Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, promoting professional development Manage existing client relationships and contribute to business development efforts Provide accounting support and client onboarding via QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Assist with tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations Qualifications CPA license required 3+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax preparation and review Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with both clients and colleagues Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Familiarity with UltraTax software is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits Salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 based on experience 401(k) with safe harbor match Health insurance coverage 3 weeks of paid time off to start Flexible schedule and partial remote work options Supportive work environment with long-term team stability Future ownership opportunity for the right candidate How to Apply The Source and Recruit Company has been retained to lead the search for this opportunity.
