Position Overview & Purpose
The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic community relationships to increase brand awareness and drive event-based business development opportunities. Acting as a key ambassador for LiveOak Fiber, this role will build meaningful partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders while planning and executing engagement events that align with the company’s business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong networking skills, a passion for community involvement, and a proven ability to create impactful engagement initiatives that contribute to business growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Community Relations & Partnership Development
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community leaders, nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholders
Represent LiveOak Fiber at community events, forums, and business networking meetings to increase brand visibility and engagement
Identify and collaborate on sponsorship and co-branding opportunities that align with LiveOak Fiber’s mission
Event Planning & Execution
Develop and execute strategic event plans to support business development goals
Manage all aspects of event execution, including logistics, vendor coordination, on-site management, and attendee engagement
Track event performance, measure ROI, and adjust strategies based on data insights
Marketing & Community Outreach
Collaborate with the marketing team to align community engagement efforts with broader brand messaging and promotional campaigns
Develop localized marketing initiatives that resonate with target audiences
Utilize social media, email marketing, and in-person outreach to drive event participation and enhance community involvement
Business Development & Lead Generation
Identify new business opportunities through community relationships and event-driven interactions
Maintain a database of potential leads, strategic partnerships, and sponsorships for follow-up and long-term relationship management
Provide regular reports to senior leadership on community engagement impact and business development results
Public Relations & Brand Representation
Act as the face of LiveOak Fiber in the local community, advocating for digital connectivity and fiber-optic solutions
Ensure all community interactions reflect the company’s mission, values, and commitment to customer satisfaction
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to develop trust and rapport quickly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
Proven experience in planning and executing successful events
Knowledge of community engagement best practices and business development strategies
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, and social media platforms
Familiarity with the Niceville, Florida community is a plus
Basic Qualifications & Competencies
~ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred
~3-5 years of experience in community relations, event management, or business development
~ Demonstrated ability to manage events and achieve measurable business results
~ Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S
Preferred Qualifications & Competencies
Experience in the telecommunications or technology industry
Previous experience working with nonprofit organizations or business networking groups
Understanding of fiber-optic internet services and broadband infrastructure

Work environment: Primarily indoors, with frequent outdoor and off-site event participation
